Hi, I’m Deborah and I’ve been creating music and producing creative projects for over a decade.
I am a current recipient of the Arts Council’s Young People, Children and Education Bursary Award (Music) 2026.
I was also a Dublin City Councillor from 2023 to 2024 in the North Inner City of Dublin.
In 2020 I founded Bainne Beatha with others to advocate for improvements to maternity services in Ireland.
As a trained life coach, I also offer mentoring, peer support and coaching to other musicians.
In 2022 I set up a peer support network Parenting Artists Ireland to support the often conflicting worlds of artistic practice and new motherhood.
Whether I’m swimming in the sea, writing a song or creating a spreadsheet, I am all in.

Squeak and Hoo
Squeak & Hoo was co-created with Chris Bubenzer, funded by the Arts Council, and developed in partnership with a Dublin inner city playschool. This learning resource entails exuberant alt-pop songs, short stories, simple choreography, creative exercises, and discussion prompts designed for preschool and primary starters and their educators and caregivers.
The Antix
Co-created with Chris Bubenzer, the Antix is a children’s music podcast, out now on RTEJr Radio. Featuring Jafaris, Jess Kav and NIYL, this is a kids music with a difference.
Hvmmingbyrd
Written and performed with former creative partner, Suzette Das, our music was featured on E4’s Made in Chelsea, RTE’s Striking Out and H&M’s global playlist.
Bainne Beatha

Parenting Artists Ireland
In 2022 I founded Parenting Artists Ireland (PAI), a collective to support the often conflicting worlds of artistic practice and new motherhood.
PAI is a supportive, inclusive peer network for mothers, parents and carers who had, have, or aspire to have, a professional or semi-professional arts practice of any artistic discipline.
Currently our group is mostly made up of mothers based in Dublin but artists from all areas in Ireland are welcome. While some members have political persuasions, PAI is not affiliated with a political party.
Maddie + Triggs
As part of Turnip+Duck’s production team, I contributed to the groundbreaking children’s series Maddie+Triggs, now airing on CBeebies and RTEJr.
